Chapter 420 wraps up the current announced batch, and Shueisha hasn’t confirmed a date for Chapter 421 yet. As always, you can read it officially through VIZ or MANGA Plus. No hiatus has been announced yet, but historically, the end of a batch is exactly when Shueisha tends to address what’s next.
However, it’s worth noting that Chapter 426 is already finished, but nothing beyond Chapter 421 has an official release date yet, so there’s a backlog sitting ready, we’re just waiting on Shueisha to start rolling it out.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 419 Recap
Chapter 419 opened with Tserriednich moving through the Black Whale for the first time since faking his death in Room 1004. He used the chapter to stress-test Parallel Future under real combat conditions instead of the staged experiments from Chapter 418.
The chapter confirmed Parallel Future’s effective range sits at roughly 36 meters. Anyone who remains inside the affected area when Parallel Future activates continues experiencing the false sequence, but someone entering afterward does not automatically fall under the same illusion.
The effect also ends once Tserriednich moves beyond that 36-meter range. That limit became a problem when the Royal Army sealed off the bridge to Tier 2, cornering him, which is what actually pushed him toward the casino floor, not the range limit itself.
Benjamin and his soldiers still believe he died in Room 1004, so Tserriednich can move without being actively hunted but that blind spot is fragile, since any soldier who gets a good look at him risks blowing the cover. That tension is the core thread Chapter 419 leaves unresolved heading into Chapter 420.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 420 Preview
The clearest lead for Chapter 420 comes from Togashi’s own background art, shared in an October 2025 production update.
The panel showed a sleeve from Hisoka’s casino dealer outfit, paired with an editor’s note reading “Entering the casino area.” Since Chapter 419 already pushed Tserriednich toward that same casino floor, the pairing raises the possibility of a direct confrontation.
Nothing about a Tserriednich and Hisoka meeting is confirmed until Chapter 420 spoilers surface closer to release. Other characters remain active on the Black Whale as well, including Bonolenov and remaining Phantom Troupe members, any of whom could factor into the same location.
What is confirmed is that Tserriednich’s cover is thinner than it’s ever been, and Chapter 420 is where that starts to matter.
