Kylie Jenner is experiencing a mix of jealousy and frustration as those close to her believe Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi are on track to tie the knot first.
Even though Kylie and Timothée Chalamet have been together much longer, having first sparked dating rumors in April 2023, their inner circle sees a different trajectory for Kendall and Elordi. The Kylie Cosmetics founder has reportedly made it clear to Chalamet that she envisions marriage in their future and is ready to get engaged.
“Even though Kylie and Timothée have been together much longer, people in their inner circle actually see Kendall and Jacob getting married first, and it’s causing some jealousy and frustration for Kylie,” an insider told Page Six. “Kylie is ready to get engaged and has made it pretty clear to Timothée that she sees marriage in their future.”
The contrast between the two relationships highlights distinct phases of Hollywood romance. Kylie and Chalamet’s bond evolved gradually over more than three years, marked by high-profile public appearances at the Golden Globes, casual concert dates, and blended family holidays with Kylie’s children, though the couple has never made their relationship official.
While Kendall and Elordi haven’t made the relationship official either, their connection has accelerated rapidly following awards-season circles and a string of international getaways to Hawaii and Japan.

Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi’s Fast-Tracking Romance Putting Engagement Pressure on Kylie Jenner
Ironically, Kylie initially championed the pairing, having grown close to Elordi during mutual awards season events, little anticipating that her sister’s relationship would outpace her own timeline for an engagement.
“There’s a different level of seriousness and maturity between them. While Kylie and Timothée still have a more fun and carefree dynamic, Kendall and Jacob are getting much more serious about their future together,” the insider added. “Jacob is completely all in with Kendall. He genuinely feels like he’s found the one, and their relationship is progressing much faster.”
That progression is putting pressure on Kylie, who in turn is putting gentle pressure on the Wonka star to take the next step.
“She’s not giving him ultimatums or demanding a ring, but she’s definitely making her feelings known and hoping he’ll get there sooner rather than later. It’s putting some pressure on Timothée to take that next step,” the insider explained.
However, Chalamet, 30, may not be quite ready to make that ultimate commitment and what really bothers Kylie is the possibility of Kendall getting engaged before her, despite being in a much newer relationship.
She started dating Chalamet shortly after her split from Travis Scott in 2023, and now the relationship is in its third year, making it her second longest after the rapper, who is father to her two children, daughter Stormi and son Aire.
Meanwhile, Kendall and Elordi first sparked dating rumors earlier this year before making their romance more public in June with a trip to Australia. They have been on multiple public dates since, and things are certainly moving fast, leaving Kylie caught between supporting her sister and navigating her own relationship expectations
