While the Palace prepares for battle over the explosive claims in Charles Spencer’s latest memoir, is entirely unbothered by the revelations surrounding his late mother’s family and was not shocked by the contents of the book.

Prince Harry Briefed on Uncle’s Memoir

Spencer’s forthcoming book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, alleges that III unleashed a “stream of anger” over ‘s funeral procession, hissing that “we’ll forget her soon enough,” and sounded “giddily elated” during a phone call shortly after her fatal 1997 crash.

In a rare formal rebuttal on behalf of the King Charles, Buckingham Palace pushed back, stating that “His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss.”

Yet behind palace walls, the reaction appears sharply divided.

“Harry knew what was in the book—it didn’t come as a shock,” an insider told Page Six, emphasizing that the Duke of Sussex maintained close contact with his uncle leading up to the release.

Ship corroborated that connection, pointing out that Harry stayed with Earl Spencer during a summer trip that included a private family gathering, giving him ample opportunity to discuss the upcoming publication.

However, according to a report by the Daily Mail, other insiders claimed that Harry, , and Palace aides were never informed about the specific contents of the memoir at all, though they were aware the book was coming.

The dispute underscores the ongoing fracture between the monarchy and the Spencer family line, with Harry remaining closely aligned with his mother’s relatives while the Palace mobilizes to protect its public standing against another high-profile tell-all.
