and ‘s return to the UK was framed as a deliberate step toward long-term domestic normalcy. But barely forty-eight hours into the new school term, the couple’s transition unraveled over an obstacle far less glamorous than palace friction.

Royal Expert Calls Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s School Commute Crisis an Avoidable Blunder

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the sudden decision to pull Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, from their new British campus “just two days into the term.”

According to a report by Hello! Magazine, the swift reversal came after their private security team determined that the daily commute was simply “too difficult to manage safely amid heavy traffic,” putting the protection unit under immediate “strain.”

However, for royal expert Kinsey Schofield, the logistical meltdown should never have caught the couple off guard. Speaking to Page Six, Schofield revealed that the chaos was predictable before the children ever stepped onto school grounds.

“None of these logistical problems are a surprise,” Schofield explained. “When I was speaking to people locally about the original school, one of the first things I was warned about was the horrific traffic. I was told you need the patience of a saint to navigate that area during the school run.”

The issue was compounded by basic scheduling demands.

“Then you factor in the distance from where the Sussexes are currently staying and the different schedules for two children of different ages, and this meant making that 45-minute journey four times a day,” Schofield noted, pointing to the Sussexes’ pattern of choosing “the more complicated route and then discovering that the complications are difficult to manage.”

Inevitably, the sudden withdrawal has added fresh ammunition to Harry’s protracted fight over taxpayer-funded police protection in Britain.

By allowing a standard traffic bottleneck to derail their children’s education after just forty-eight hours, critics argue the couple has turned an ordinary suburban headache into convenient political leverage, framing an entirely avoidable planning error as proof that their current security apparatus simply cannot keep them safe.
