Season 4 Episode 2, “Blind Rooster”, introduces the tech billionaire Bradley Van Heusen played by without telling us much about him, which makes every detail count.

Borg is a German actor, comedian, and musician widely known for his comedic role as Pieter Kramer in Pitch Perfect 2 and his action role as Gunter Braun / Javelin in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. His transition into playing a wealthy tech mogul in the Paramount+ series brings a different kind of adversary compared to Dwight’s usual world of traditional mobsters.

The episode picks up immediately after the plane crash that claimed the lives of Margaret and Governor Cal Thresher. With Cal gone, Amanda Clark, played by Gretchen Mol, steps into the governor’s office and wastes no time targeting Dwight’s liquor licence by accusing him of unfairly benefiting from political connections.

Amanda’s storyline quickly intersects with Van Heusen in this same chapter, bringing the billionaire’s underlying agenda into sharp focus. As a tech mogul pursuing extensive AI data-centre development across the state, he expects the new governor to back his plans, providing Amanda with a powerful corporate ally just as she tightens her grip on Dwight.

This corporate ambition creates an immediate friction point with Dwight’s established empire and business interests. With a hostile governor squeezing his liquor licence and a high-tech developer needing vast room to build, the two men are set on a tense collision course with Amanda caught right in the middle.

Land is already a critical issue for Dwight after he recently inherited Margaret’s ranch and offered Spencer the chance to run it in the same episode. Although it remains unconfirmed whether Van Heusen’s expansion blueprints directly overlap with this newly acquired property, the sheer scale of the developer’s ambitions threatens everything Dwight is trying to protect.

Is Van Heusen Connected to the Plane Crash in Season 4?

Nothing in the opening episodes confirms that Van Heusen or Amanda orchestrated the fatal plane crash, nor do they explicitly link Margaret and Cal’s deaths to the mounting threats against Dwight’s business.

Musso informs Dwight that no distress signal was sent and the search area remains vast, leaving very few concrete leads. For now, Van Heusen simply benefits from having a friendly governor in office, a coincidence of timing until the narrative proves otherwise.

Even so, the timing for Dwight could hardly be worse. He is actively grieving Margaret, dealing with the intense fallout from Tyson’s tainted pills, and now facing a hostile governor and a tech billionaire who both want a piece of Oklahoma. While Van Heusen may not be a traditional villain just yet, he has rapidly become a major pressure point on Dwight’s empire.

Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 3 arrives next week, and Van Heusen’s next move will determine whether he is merely a businessman chasing a corporate deal or a far more dangerous adversary.
