It has been only a few months since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry returned to Britain with their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, and reports that the couple, or at least the Suits actress, want to leave are already making the rounds.
It was always expected that the couple’s return to the UK, six years after stepping back from royal duties, would not go smoothly, particularly given the controversy involved. Even so, the reports of Meghan’s dissatisfaction are becoming hard to ignore.
Three Reasons Meghan Markle Could Leave Britain Again

Harry and Meghan returned to Britain in late August but received a cold welcome, or rather no welcome at all, from the royal family. Although the couple met King Charles earlier in the year, reports surfaced that Markle was left questioning everything.
There have also been unconfirmed reports of pub employees refusing to serve Meghan, while the couple is still waiting to hear whether they will be granted taxpayer-funded security. Amid these concerns, RadarOnline.com reports that Meghan is ready to quit the Cotswolds for three reasons.
“The first is her separation from familiar surroundings, particularly her mother, Doria,” a source told the publication. Doria remains in Los Angeles, and Meghan also “misses her California friendships, coastal lifestyle and the independence she enjoyed during six years in America,” the source added.

The second is the cold reception in the Cotswolds.
“The third issue involves the emotional associations of returning to Britain after her difficult departure from royal life,” according to the source.
Meghan has often spoken about the psychological distress she endured as a working royal. Though she and Harry no longer carry out royal duties, the couple are still covered and scrutinized in much the same way.
Her hopes of a UK acting comeback have also taken a hit, with her casting in The Gentlemen said to have been a publicity stunt by Netflix, according to her friends. Harry, by contrast, is said to be adjusting far more easily, having made a visit to a school in Birmingham, an appearance at the Invictus Spirit Awards, and overseas trips for charity work.
“His preference for remaining in Britain contrasts hugely with Meghan’s feeling, which is now that she would rather eventually reestablish the family’s principal residence in California,” the source added.
Harry and Meghan made their first joint public appearance since returning to the UK last week, visiting Nottingham, where Meghan said “it’s great to be back” as the couple were cheered by crowds. A spokesperson of the couple told People they were thrilled by the warm reception from the crowd, but whether that can change Markle’s view of staying in the UK remains to be seen.
