‘s acting career has been back in the spotlight since her return to the UK, with reports claiming she was offered a role in Guy Ritchie’s . While those reports remain unconfirmed, her career took a hit when talent agent Ari Emanuel stepped away from her account, though WME still represents both Markle and Archewell.

Ari Emanuel Explains Why He Walked Away From Meghan Markle

Markle signed with WME in 2023, and according to Variety, the relationship soured quickly, with Emanuel dropping off her account after just three months. It became clear things weren’t smooth between the two when Emmanuel gave a blunt answer when asked about the Duchess of Sussex’s future career.

“Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that any more,” he told Sunday Times.

Emanuel has now offered more context while speaking with Megyn Kelly on her SiriusXM show, arguing he didn’t want Markle’s career draining his attention.

“I just had a lot on my plate with. I’ve started a new company. I run TKO. I have clients. And it was better to let them deal with her and execute against her needs and desires. And I’m happy that everybody’s doing it for me,” Emanuel explained.

“I didn’t want it occupying my brain,” he added. “And when I’m involved in somebody, it constantly — when I wake up in the morning, clients occupy my brain. But that’s what happens. And I just didn’t want to do that anymore.”

Markle was fresh off eye-popping Netflix and Spotify deals when she signed with Emmanuel in 2023. However, she seemingly failed to deliver a major payday for WME.

Emanuel said he simply had to shift his focus to other priorities, and Kelly was quick to finish the thought. She suggested those priorities were the kind that could “actually get bookings and make money for it.”

When Kelly pressed further, noting that Markle’s career doesn’t seem to be going well, Emanuel pushed back. He insisted she is “actually getting booked,” with reality and TV projects in the mix, then undercut himself by adding, “I don’t know about it.”

Kelly wasn’t convinced and told him on air that he was “full of it,” while Emanuel just smiled and laughed.

With no confirmed projects and her former agent admitting his attention was elsewhere, Meghan Markle’s Hollywood comeback remains an open question. Whether the rumored Guy Ritchie offer or any of those supposed bookings turn into real roles is what will decide her next chapter in Hollywood.
