Two episodes into the final stretch of Ichigo Kurosaki’s story, fans already know the wait for new Bleach is short. Episode 3 of The Calamity has a confirmed date, and it’s closer than the manga readers among us might expect.
The Calamity kicked off on July 25, 2026, with “God of Thunder”, and Studio Pierrot wasted no time following it up with “Son of Darkness” a week later. Both episodes leaned hard into the fallout of Yhwach’s takeover of the Soul King’s throne room, and both landed the kind of animation spikes that made the Thousand-Year Blood War arc the highest-rated shonen of the decade.
The pressure is entirely on episode 3 to keep that momentum going, especially since it’s one of the three chapters that got the early theatrical treatment back in June.
When Does ‘Bleach: The Calamity’ Episode 3 Release?
Episode 3, titled “Blood for My Bone”, is scheduled to premiere in Japan on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo. For the global simulcast, that translates to 7:30 a.m. PT and 10:30 a.m. ET the same morning, with Hulu carrying the episode in the US and Disney+ handling international streaming.
“Blood for My Bone” adapts material that fans following the manga will recognize as chapter 675, and it’s the third piece of a run that Kubo has reportedly expanded with anime-original scenes to smooth out the source material’s compressed final chapters.
It’s also notable as the last of the three episodes that already screened in US theaters through the Fathom Entertainment and VIZ Media event back in June, meaning episode 4 on August 15 will be the first true blind watch of the finale for most of the fandom.
The Calamity is running as a weekly release, with returning cast members Masakazu Morita, Noriaki Sugiyama, Yuki Matsuoka, and Hiroki Yasumoto all back for the cour. The season is adapting manga chapters 664 through 686, and Pierrot has already teased that the finale itself will run as an extended, hour-long episode.
Bleach: The Calamity episode 4 arrives Saturday, August 15, 2026.
