Meghan Markle just turned 45, and she’s using the milestone to get candid about the one thing she says makes her unstoppable. It’s not a royal title, and it’s not a new business venture.
The Duchess of Sussex has spent the past few weeks in the spotlight for reasons beyond her birthday. She’s been promoting Cookie Queens, the new Archewell Productions documentary that follows four girls navigating the high-stakes world of Girl Scout cookie sales. As part of that press run, Meghan sat down for a Q&A with InStyle, where kids got to ask her anything they wanted.
Meghan Markle Reveals Motherhood Is Her Real Superpower
When one of the kids asked Meghan what her superpower is, she didn’t hesitate.
“I was just thinking it’s being a mom,” she said. She didn’t stop there either, expanding on just how much she thinks moms deserve credit for.
“All moms, I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all and enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time,” she said.
It’s a sentiment that tracks with how Meghan has talked about parenting before, but this time she went a step further and revealed exactly where she pulls her strength from day to day. Asked what makes her feel brave, Meghan pointed straight to Lilibet.
“Every day, when I feel a little bit like, ‘Oh gosh, can I do this?’ I go: ‘Lili would do it,'” Markle added.
It’s a sweet full-circle moment considering how protective Meghan and Prince Harry have historically been over their kids’ privacy. Lilibet and her older brother Archie, seven, are rarely seen in public, but Meghan has been opening up more about the day-to-day realities of raising them, especially during a summer that included a rare family trip to the UK and a reunion with King Charles.
Cookie Queens, directed by Alysa Nahmias, premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival before hitting theaters on August 7.
