Fans have been watching every frame of the KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS trailer looking for one thing: Manon. Now, at the film’s premiere, Lara Raj has confirmed exactly how big her presence really is.
Manon Bannerman has been on hiatus from KATSEYE since February 2026, and the group has stayed largely quiet on the details ever since. That silence has only fueled speculation among Eyekons about whether she’d have any role at all in the documentary chronicling the making of the group’s third EP, WILD.
Lara Raj Confirms Manon’s Role in KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS
At the film’s Tuesday premiere at AMC The Grove 14 in Los Angeles, Lara addressed the question directly when asked why it mattered to include Manon in the final cut.
“She will forever be such an integral part of the journey of KATSEYE,” Lara told Entertainment Tonight, “and of course she’s included in the film.”
The confirmation puts to rest months of fan uncertainty about whether Manon’s contributions to the group’s rise would be acknowledged on screen. Given that WILD HEARTS is framed as a chronicle of KATSEYE’s full journey, cutting her out entirely would have left a noticeable gap in the story the film is trying to tell.
Lara wasn’t the only member whose comments made headlines at the premiere. Four members, Lara, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini, and Yoonchae Jeung, walked the carpet in coordinated black looks, while Sophia Laforteza was notably absent. Lara explained that Sophia was sick and couldn’t attend, adding that she still sent her love to fans waiting outside.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS is directed by Nadia Hallgreen and produced by Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures in partnership with HYBE x Geffen, the same team behind the Netflix documentary Pop Star Academy. The film promises never-before-seen footage, fan videos, and interviews tracing the group’s path from Dream Academy to global stardom, all set against the backdrop of their reinvention for WILD.
For Eyekons who’ve spent months piecing together clues from trailer drops and cryptic interviews, Lara’s comment is the clearest sign yet that Manon’s story hasn’t been erased from KATSEYE’s narrative, even as her future with the group remains unresolved.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS opens in limited theaters on August 12, two days ahead of WILD‘s release on August 14.
