Football’s biggest night is about to get a musical lineup that matches its scale, and the final piece just fell into place. FIFA has confirmed a new co-headliner for its most ambitious halftime show yet.

The FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show has never existed before this year, and the buildup has been massive. Madonna, Shakira, and BTS were already locked in as co-headliners for the July 19 spectacle at New York New Jersey Stadium, produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted, with Coldplay’s Chris Martin serving as the show’s curator.

Justin Bieber Joins the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show Lineup

Justin Bieber is officially in. FIFA and Global Citizen announced he’ll co-headline the show alongside Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, marking the first time in tournament history that the championship match will feature a halftime performance at all.

Bieber shared his excitement in a statement, saying the World Cup “brings the world together in a way nothing else can” and that he’s grateful the show is helping expand access to education for kids worldwide. FIFA President Gianni Infantino echoed that sentiment, framing education as one of the most important things the world needs right now.

The timing lines up with a huge stretch for Bieber. He’s coming off a Coachella headlining set that fans nicknamed “Bieberchella,” and he also performed at this year’s Grammys, so he’s walking into the World Cup stage with serious momentum.

He won’t be the only new name on the bill either. Burna Boy, who co-created this year’s official tournament song “Dai Dai” with Shakira, is joining the show, along with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus, performing alongside Coldplay. Characters from Sesame Street, including Kermit and Miss Piggy, are also set to appear, tying into the show’s education-focused mission.

The performance benefits the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million for education and access to football for children around the world. More than half of that goal has already been hit, partly through a $1 donation from every World Cup 2026 ticket sold.

Mark your calendars. The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show kicks off on Sunday, July 19, at New York-New Jersey Stadium.
