Black Torch premiered on July 4, 2026, kicking off one of the more unexpected comeback stories of the Summer 2026 season. The manga wrapped up years ago, so seeing Tsuyoshi Takaki’s shinobi-versus-spirits world get a full weekly anime adaptation has been a genuine surprise for longtime readers.

Black Torch Episode 5 Release Date and Time
Episode 5 releases on Saturday, August 1, on Crunchyroll. The episode drops at 6:00 a.m. PDT, which lines up to 9:00 a.m. EDT and 1:00 p.m. GMT for international viewers.
That timing has held steady since the premiere, so anyone who caught episode 4 on July 25 already knows the drill for episode 5. The series is confirmed for 12 episodes total, which puts the season finale at episode 12 on September 19.
