The ninja and mononoke duo of Black Torch have only just fused their fates together, and already, fans are counting down the hours until the next chapter of their war.
Black Torch wasted no time hooking viewers when it premiered on Crunchyroll, throwing Jiro Azuma into a life-or-death encounter that left him fused with the immortal cat spirit Rago.
The show adapts Tsuyoshi Takaki’s five-volume manga, and with a same-day English dub and stellar animation from 100studio, it quickly became one of the buzzier entries in the Summer 2026 lineup. Two episodes in, the Bureau of Espionage’s fight against hostile mononoke is only just getting started, and the pacing has fans refreshing their calendars for what’s next.
Black Torch Episode 3 Release Date and Time
Episode 3 of Black Torch arrives on Crunchyroll on Saturday, July 18, 2026, continuing the show’s steady weekly rollout. The episode drops at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time, 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, and 1:00 p.m. GMT, with both the Japanese subtitled version and the English dub going live at the same time.
That simulcast setup has been the norm since episode 1, so there’s no waiting around for a separate dub release like with plenty of other seasonal shows. Crunchyroll is handling the global rollout across North America, Europe, Oceania, and several other regions, while Japanese audiences can also catch the series on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and Aichi TV, as well as on ABEMA and d Anime Store.
The series is set to run for 12 episodes total, all on this Saturday morning schedule, which puts the season finale on track for a September premiere. Jiro is voiced by Ryota Suzuki in Japanese and AJ Beckles in the English dub, while Rago is voiced by Yoji Ueda and Keith Silverstein, respectively. The cast also includes Sayaka Senbongi as Ichika Kishimojin and Junya Enoki as Reiji Kirihara, with Kei Umabiki directing at 100Studio.
Crunchyroll Manga is also getting in on the momentum, having added the original Black Torch manga to its library so fans can jump between the anime and source material with one click. With episode 2 already setting up more of the Bureau of Espionage’s mononoke conflict, episode 3 looks primed to push Jiro and Rago’s uneasy partnership even further.
Black Torch episode 3 streams on Crunchyroll this Saturday, July 18, at 6:00 a.m. PT.
