If you sat down on Sunday, May 24, expecting a new episode of From and got nothing, you are not alone. MGM+ quietly skipped its weekly release, leaving fans confused and more than a little frustrated after one of the most intense episodes of Season 4 yet.

Here is what is going on, when the show is actually coming back, and what we know about Episode 6.

From Season 4 Episode 6 New Release Date and Time

The short answer: Episode 6, titled “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter,” will premiere on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT on MGM+.

The episode was originally expected to drop on May 24, following the show’s consistent weekly Sunday release pattern that has been in place since the Season 4 premiere on April 19. Instead, MGM+ inserted a one-week break with no formal announcement, which understandably caught many viewers off guard.

Harold Perrineau, who plays Boyd Stevens, confirmed the updated date on his social media, which helped clear up at least some of the confusion spreading online. While MGM+ has not given an official reason for the pause, the timing lines up squarely with Memorial Day weekend.

The federal holiday falls on Monday, May 25, and it is one of those weekends where streaming viewership tends to dip as people travel, spend time with family, or stay away from their screens entirely. Platforms often quietly shuffle scheduling around holidays for exactly this reason.

Why Episode 5 Left Everyone Desperate for More

The delay stings that much harder because Episode 5, “What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been,” was a genuine turning point for the season.

The bulk of the hour belonged to Jade, who finally followed through on the mushroom-induced vision quest he had been building toward. With Boyd acting as his reluctant anchor and their safe word “Capricorn” their only lifeline to reality, Jade descended into a series of increasingly disturbing hallucinations. He encountered a childhood version of himself playing violin, reliving the day his grandmother died. He saw dead bodies that have haunted him across multiple seasons. And then things got considerably darker.

The visions led Jade through Colony House and into hidden tunnels beneath it, which appear to be the dwelling place of the creatures that terrorize the town each night. More unsettling is what the trip revealed about Jade’s own fate: there have been many versions of him trapped in the Township over the years, and every single one of them was ultimately killed not by the night creatures, but by the townspeople themselves. Once they realize Jade is the one the children are calling for, they turn on him. It has happened before. The implication is that it will happen again.

Meanwhile, the group sent to the lake uncovered something lurking in the water that proved just as threatening as anything stalking the woods at night. The episode ended with another death and a new wave of dread.

What to Expect from Episode 6, “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter”

After everything Jade processed during his trip, Episode 6 is set up to deal with the fallout. He came out of the hallucination convinced he knew how to save the children, but the path to doing that ran directly through the danger his own vision warned him about. How much does he share with the group, and how do they react?

There is also Tabitha’s thread to pick back up. Her own unlocked memories have been running parallel to Jade’s investigation, and the two storylines are converging in ways that suggest the season’s biggest revelations are still ahead.

With the finale set for June 28, 2026, and MGM+ already having confirmed that Season 5 will be the show’s last, every remaining episode carries real weight. After this break, From is expected to return to its weekly schedule through the end of the run.
