Zendaya just named the one thing about Tom Holland she wishes she had more of, and it has nothing to do with his acting.
The reveal came during a sit-down interview with French YouTuber HugoDécrypte in late July 2026, where the pair opened up about each other’s personalities in a way fans rarely get to see. What started as a lighthearted back-and-forth quickly turned into Zendaya explaining exactly why her husband and Spider-Man co-star handles conflict in a way she genuinely admires.
She did not hold back on naming the trait, and Holland’s reaction to hearing it only made the moment better.

Zendaya made it clear that the quality she admires most has nothing to do with Holland’s career.
“Something I am always impressed with Tom about, which I feel like I want to inherit more of… You’re a big stickler for respect and kindness,” she said. Holland jumped in playfully, guessing “Awesome? legendary? talented?” before Zendaya laughed and repeated herself, telling him he really does stand on his commitment to respect and kindness.
She went further, crediting Holland with keeping those values front and center in a way she does not always manage herself. “Not to say that I’m not doing that, but you just make sure that is in the front,” she said.
Zendaya pointed specifically to how Holland sets boundaries. “And then if that line is crossed, I think sometimes he’s better at drawing boundaries and making things clear. And I’m a little bit more like, okay, guys, it’s all right, everything’s all right,” she said, adding that Holland is “good at setting the boundaries when they need to be set. Really clearly, really strong.”
She also reflected on her own instinct to smooth things over rather than confront them directly. “So I like that you have, you know what you feel is right for yourself, and you do it, and for others you’re very protective in that way,” she said, explaining that watching Holland stand firm has pushed her to think differently about setting her own boundaries.
