Unconfirmed rumors published between April 18 and 21, 2026, say there was a conflict between Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson that may even constitute an assault. None of the artists or their agents commented on the claims. Still, these rumors left the One Direction fan community very concerned about a potential reunion of the band’s members.
On-set fighting rumors arise in relation to a rumored project
According to a report from The Sun, it happened while Malik and Tomlinson were filming an unknown project. The road trip documentary is supposed to be created for Netflix; however, neither the platform nor its creators have officially announced the project. Sources say Malik and Tomlinson had a fight during filming. However, there are still some doubts about what exactly happened.
In addition, fans noticed that neither Malik nor Tomlinson follows the other on Instagram anymore. Additionally, Louis Tomlinson’s family also stopped following him. Social media behavior can prove certain claims, but it still cannot be the only evidence.
Moreover, a documentary project seems to have been canceled. There is no confirmation of that claim from any of the involved people. Nevertheless, One Direction fans have found a message from filmmaker Nicola B. Marsh, who called it a lost year, which can prove the cancellation of the project.
