and have a lot on their plate since relocating back to the UK, and royal politics doesn’t appear to be anywhere near the top of it. Between a formal statement from the Palace and a wave of tabloid chatter, the couple has stayed noticeably quiet on where things stand with the family.

What’s Actually Filling Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Days Right Now

On Monday, issued a letter offering guidance on Meghan and Harry’s royal status now that they’ve relocated to the UK. Their rep responded that the couple was caught off guard by the statement, which made clear they would remain private citizens going forward.

But according to a source who spoke with People, Harry and Meghan’s energy isn’t going into careers and royal standing. Instead, they are focused on their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet, which “has been, and remains, their focus,” the insider said. “Everything else will fall into place when the time is right.”

“There is a lot to do,” the source told the outlet, pointing to just how much has changed for the family in a short window.

That framing pushes back directly against tabloid reports suggesting Harry and Meghan are anything but comfortable being back in Harry’s home country. Sources close to the couple maintain the opposite, describing them as genuinely happy to be home despite the adjustment period.

Moving an entire household and two young kids across the world isn’t a quiet transition, and it shows in how deliberately the couple is choosing to spend their time. For now, school runs and settling in are winning out over addressing the noise.

Whether Harry and Meghan engage more directly with the Palace’s guidance remains to be seen, but their circle isn’t signaling any urgency on that front.
