Millie Bobby Brown is hyped for the new Grand Theft Auto, but the way she actually plays the game is not what fans might expect.
GTA has always been the go-to sandbox for chaos. Players run red lights, cause pileups, and generally treat the in-game world as a consequence-free playground built for mayhem. That reputation is basically baked into the franchise’s identity at this point.
Millie Bobby Brown’s GTA Playstyle Has Her Husband Completely Confused
So when Brown revealed her personal approach to the game, it caught people off guard.
“I am so excited for the new GTA. It’s a passion,” she said. “I follow the rules in GTA, I don’t break the rules, I stop at the red lights, never run anyone over.”
That is about as far from the typical GTA experience as it gets, and apparently her husband agrees. According to Brown, he asked her point-blank why she plays the notoriously lawless game as if it were The Sims.
Her answer only doubled down on the bit. “I am like, I am gonna go to the strip club but I’m not going to get drunk,” she said. “Like I just very, very good.”
It is a genuinely funny contradiction. Brown is still engaging with every corner of the GTA world, strip clubs included, just without any of the anarchy the series is famous for. No stolen cars, no cop chases, no jaywalking pedestrians left in the dust. Just a fully law-abiding citizen who happens to be roaming a city built for the opposite.
For a franchise where speedrunning wanted levels is basically a rite of passage, hearing one of its most high-profile fans describe herself as a stickler for red lights is a fun departure. It also says something about how GTA has grown beyond its chaos-first reputation. Plenty of players now treat it as a hangout sim, a driving simulator, or in Brown’s case, an actual test of good citizenship.
Whether that discipline holds up once GTA 6 actually drops remains to be seen. Fans will get their own chance to find out, follow the rules or not, when the game finally arrives.
