Joey King has already cast her Practical Magic 2 co-star in her next role, and it is not another witch. King landed on Sandra Bullock as the ideal choice to play Mrs. Incredible in live action, describing the exact aesthetic the part demands. She did not hesitate once she settled on the idea, telling Bullock she was born for the role.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, King laid out her case for Bullock’s fit.
“It’s got to I have to be cute and have a cinched waist and elongate the leg, right?”
Bullock pushed back on the suggestion, joking that the Mrs. Incredible costume is essentially a onesie and questioning whether she could really pull it off.
“Well, no. Live action. You should be in the body for it. That’s a onesie. That’s a full onesie.”
King insisted Bullock had nothing to worry about, and the conversation quickly turned into a pitch for a package deal, with King offering to take on Mr. Incredible herself so the two could share the bit.
The pitch landed as playful banter, but it builds on real history between the two. King and Bullock first worked together on 2022’s Bullet Train, and they are now mother and daughter onscreen in Practical Magic 2, with King playing Kylie Owens to Bullock’s Sally.
That dynamic clearly carried over into their press tour chemistry, and it’s part of what makes the Mrs. Incredible pitch land as more than just a passing joke.
