Demon Slayer fans have been asking one question for almost a year: when can we actually watch Infinity Castle at home? After a theatrical run that broke records across the globe, the wait is finally, officially over.

Infinity Castle first arrived in US and Canadian theaters on September 12, 2025, following a July premiere in Japan that immediately started smashing box office records. The film went on to become the highest-grossing anime movie ever made, eventually earning more than $700 million worldwide and even scoring a Golden Globes nomination for Best Animated Feature. It was such a phenomenon that Sony brought it back to North American theaters again in March 2026, this time in IMAX and SCREENX formats fans hadn’t gotten to experience the first time around.

But despite that massive success, Infinity Castle never got a home release. No digital purchase, no disc, and definitely no streaming, which left plenty of fans who missed the theatrical window with nothing to do but wait.

When Is Infinity Castle Streaming In The US?

Crunchyroll confirmed at its Anime Expo 2026 panel that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I will begin streaming on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. PT (11:00 a.m. ET). The film will be available both subbed and dubbed, and it will not be a Crunchyroll exclusive. The same day, it also lands for digital purchase on Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, and Fandango, with pre-orders opening as early as July 4.

The timing lines up with Infinity Castle’s home media release in Japan, which drops on July 29. Netflix will also carry the film for viewers across most of Asia outside Japan, mainland China, and India, but for the US and the bulk of the rest of the world, Crunchyroll is the destination.

Why The Wait Took So Long

Part of the delay came down to just how long Infinity Castle kept selling tickets. Between its original September 2025 release and its surprise March 2026 theatrical return, the film simply never stopped performing, and studios historically hold off on a streaming debut while a movie is still drawing crowds in cinemas. Rumors of a streaming date had circulated for months, including an early listing on Prime Video Canada that briefly pointed to July 29 before being pulled back as a mistake, which only added to fan anticipation heading into Anime Expo.

For anyone catching up on the story, Infinity Castle picks up right after Hashira Training, following Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps as they’re pulled into Muzan Kibutsuji’s stronghold and forced into brutal fights against the Upper Rank demons before the series’ final battle can even begin.

There’s also bigger picture context here. Infinity Castle is only the first of three planned films closing out the anime, and a second movie is already in production, though no theatrical date has been locked in yet. Most estimates point to 2027 at the earliest, which makes this streaming release feel like the last major milestone before the story moves into its next chapter.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I streams on Crunchyroll starting July 28.
