Sanji has spent two chapters getting dismantled by a Holy Knight, and a warning he has dodged for years is finally coming back to haunt him. Chapter 1196 lands this weekend with a fight that sounds stranger than anything in the Elbaf arc so far.

The chapter will be available on Manga Plus and the official Viz Media platform. A break follows 1196, so there is no new chapter on October 25. Chapter 1197 is currently listed for November 2 in Japan, which makes it a Sunday, November 1 release in the US.

Chapter 1195, titled “Weakness”, split its time between the two rivals. Zoro showed full control of his Conqueror’s Haki and sent Saint Shepherd Sommers running in fear. Sanji had a rougher time, since he kicked Killingham into pieces and still could not finish him.

Killingham mocked Sanji for lacking Conqueror’s Haki and told him he had reached his limit. The chapter ended on a memory of Ivankov insisting that Sanji carried a serious weakness. Oda cut away before explaining what it was, and Chapter 1196 is expected to pick that thread up.

One Piece Chapter 1196 Spoilers: Killingham Turns Sanji’s Nightmare Against Him

The early spoilers come from leaks posted by PewPiece on Instagram, which lists the chapter title as “There’s No Worth in a Love That Longs for Death,” while the cover page is reported to show a kangaroo boxing against Lilith and Edison.

The fight opens with Killingham pulling Sanji’s worst nightmare into the battle, and it turns out to be Ivankov. Killingham then merges with the nightmare, creating a figure with Kirin’s body, leotard included, and Ivankov’s head. The image is outrageous, and the setup clearly aims at something personal.

A flashback then returns to the Kamabakka Kingdom, where Sanji spent two years during the timeskip. Ivankov tells him that what he has always lacked is self-love, with spoilers from X user WorstGenHQ adding that Sanji kept winning his fights against the Okama but always got hurt, because he could have dodged and did not value himself.

It also reports that Sanji claimed he would die for Robin and Nami. Ivankov answers that a love that longs for death is worthless, since love is also a form of defense. That exchange lines up directly with the chapter title.

Back in the present, Sanji realizes something, and the nightmare Ivankov disappears. He lights a cigarette and closes the chapter with this line:

“I already told you, you’re way too full of yourself, horse-man!”

The early spoilers do not confirm that Sanji awakens Conqueror’s Haki, and they do not show him defeating Killingham. Wording can also shift once the official translation arrives, so treat these details as early leaks. The Haki question will have to wait for the finished chapter, which arrives at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday.
