Netflix has released the first images from Enola Holmes 3, and one shot is getting all the attention. Millie Bobby Brown’s young detective is seen wearing a traditional white bridal veil. It’s a striking image that immediately raises questions.

Speaking about the role with Tudum, Brown said Enola is stepping into a version of herself that “feels much more defined but still evolving.”
“She’s built something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next,” the actress added. “I think that’s something so many people can relate to. There’s this pressure of, ‘Ok, I’ve achieved this…but who am I now?’”
This inner conflict suggests that the wedding veil may represent a turning point. It reflects the tension between her “professional and personal dreams” and the possibility of a different kind of future.
Romance, Risk, and the Malta Mystery
A big part of that future involves Lord Tewkesbury.
Played by Louis Partridge, the character has shared a growing connection with Enola across the first two films. What began as playful banter now appears to carry more serious weight. The new images, even hinting at Tewkesbury on one knee, suggest that their relationship could be heading toward a major decision.
Working with Partridge has been a “huge part” of what continues to make the films feel so special. “What’s been really nice is getting to explore a more mature version of their relationship,” Brown said. “It’s not just playful anymore, it has real weight to it.”
Still, this is an Enola Holmes story. Romance doesn’t replace danger; it exists alongside it.
Other images show Enola in the middle of action, including a dramatic scene involving a “deadly-looking fire.” That reminder is important. Even in a wedding veil, she remains the same sharp, fearless detective.
