Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 finally answers what Amado has been building toward since he had Kawaki deliver Kashin Koji straight into his lab. The scientist does not touch the Shinjutsu itself. Instead, he goes after the one thing standing between him and unlimited foresight: Koji’s own biology.
For most of the series, Ten Directions has come with a brutal tradeoff. Koji sees every possible future, but the visions arrive on their own schedule, sometimes weeks apart, leaving him blind at the exact moments he needs information most. That gap is what Amado exploits while Koji is unconscious and restrained in his lab.
Amado Alters Koji’s Brainwaves To Speed Up Ten Directions in Boruto Chapter 36
Amado runs an ultrasound-based procedure on Koji’s brain, adjusting his brainwaves to shrink the wait time between updates. He frames it as non-invasive, and it works almost immediately. Koji starts receiving new visions far faster than before. The cost shows up fast, too, with the accelerated frequency putting real strain on his body.
Amado’s motive traces back to the same goal that has driven nearly all of his choices since his daughter died. Kawaki’s new Karma carries Akebi’s memories and genetic data, and Amado’s plan hinges on Kawaki imprinting that Karma onto a clone body, an Otsutsuki-style method of reincarnation. What he wants from Koji is confirmation that a future exists where it actually works. The answer he gets back is not the one he was hoping for.
The sped-up visions do not stop there. Koji’s new update also surfaces fragmented glimpses of what is coming, including Boruto with Karma active, a fully-horned Borushiki, Sarada awakening her Mangekyo Sharingan, and Kawaki wielding his own Karma. It is not yet clear which choices lead to which outcomes, but the Borushiki flash alone raises the possibility that Momoshiki has not finished with Boruto’s body.
Ten Directions Exposes Boruto And Sarada’s Doomed Plan Against Code
The upgrade proves its worth before the chapter ends. Boruto and Sarada had set up Sarada as bait, banking on Code moving her through the Claw Marks he left around Konoha during the Mamushi fight so Boruto could use the teleportation symbols he had given her to slip into the Divine Tree hideout.
Koji’s accelerated visions catch the flaw first. Code notices traces of Boruto’s chakra on Sarada from those same symbols and realizes exactly what the two are attempting. Koji tries to warn Boruto in time, but Boruto teleports straight to Sarada’s location before Koji can finish getting the words out.
The chapter closes with the plan in ruins and Sarada in Code’s hands. It is the clearest demonstration yet of what Amado’s upgrade actually does. Ten Directions is no longer just a tool for watching the future play out. It is now fast enough to change it, and Amado is the one holding the controls.
