Valley Forge Automotive Center has seen plenty of chaos over two seasons of Tires, but nothing has quite prepared the guys for Bonnie. Now that Season 3 has landed on Netflix, fans are already asking exactly who this new character is and why she is suddenly running spiritual rituals in the middle of a tire shop.
The answer starts with Phil.Thomas Haden Church’s character joined the cast in Season 2 as the wealthy, immature owner of the family business, while Will serves as the exasperated manager trying to keep it afloat while Shane runs it into the ground. Season 3 gives Phil something new to juggle: a relationship. That is where Bonnie comes in, and she is not exactly a low-key addition to his life.

Bonnie is played by Rachel Blanchard, the 7th Heaven alum who most recently starred as Susannah Fisher in The Summer I Turned Pretty.
She joins Tires as Phil’s warm, eccentric new girlfriend, and the show wastes no time establishing what makes her stand out from anyone else who has walked through the shop doors.
As reported by Variety earlier, Bonnie brings her spiritual healing rituals into Phil’s life and into the shop itself, whether the guys welcome it or not. That description alone signals the kind of culture clash Tires thrives on.
A grease-stained auto repair chain is not exactly the natural home for spiritual healing, and that friction is clearly part of the point. Blanchard was announced for the role alongside Garret Dillahunt, Anjelica Bette Fellini, and Matt Walsh, all joining as the series expands its world beyond the core Valley Forge crew.
Why Bonnie Matters for Season 3
Bonnie’s arrival lines up with a bigger shift for Tires this season. The show has been moving past its sketch comedy roots into something with more developed characters and ongoing arcs, and giving Phil a love interest is a clear part of that evolution.
It gives Church’s character an emotional life outside the shop for the first time, and it opens the door for Bonnie’s rituals to collide with the shop’s usual chaos in ways the trailers have already teased.
She is not the only new face stirring things up. Dillahunt plays Thatch, described as Frank‘s scary brother who raises the tension around family and management conflict, while Bobby Lee joins as Ricky, a chaotic tire company executive and the boss’s son.
Jamie Lynn Sigler is also part of the expanded cast, though her character details remain under wraps. Together, these additions push Tires Season 3 into bigger, messier territory as Will tries to manage a business that keeps outgrowing his ability to run it.
For Bonnie specifically, the tension is simple. Phil has never been the type to embrace anything resembling spirituality, and now he is dating someone who wants to bring incense and healing rituals into a place that mostly smells like motor oil. That mismatch is exactly the kind of setup Tires has built its comedy on, and it is likely to keep paying off as the season continues.
