The Ramparts of Ice (Koori no Jouheki) has returned for Season 2 with the fragile peace among its central four on the brink of collapse. While the first season mapped the emotional perimeter Koyuki Hikawa built to survive past trauma, the new batch tests whether those defenses can withstand real vulnerability, especially as Minato Amamiya’s easygoing warmth begins forcing uncomfortable truths to the surface.

The Ramparts of Ice Season 2 Episode Release Schedule

Season 2 keeps the weekly model of Season 1, which ran 14 episodes from April 2 to July 2, 2026. In Japan, new episodes air Thursdays at 11:56 PM JST on TBS, and Netflix’s global release lands the same Thursday in US time. While Netflix has not published an official hour, expect it to drop roughly at 8:56 AM PT, 11:56 AM ET and 9:26 PM IST.

Season 1 Recap and Where Season 2 Picks Up

Season 1 follows Koyuki Hikawa, a high school student who keeps everyone at a distance after being bullied in the past and picking up the nickname the Ice Queen.

Minato Amamiya gradually breaks through her defenses, while Miki Azumi and Yota Hino fill out the central quartet. The season closes with Yota confessing to Miki, which leaves their relationship unresolved.

The Season 2 synopsis starts with Koyuki realizing Minato has feelings for her and struggling to process them. Miki and Yota work to rebuild their connection, but an unexpected event at the cultural festival threatens their fragile balance. The trailer also hints at developments involving Momoka Kuriki, a supporting character from Season 1.

Voice Cast and Production Credits

Studio KAI animates the series under director Mankyū, with Teru Ishii as assistant director for Season 2. Yasuhiro Nakanishi handles series composition, Miki Ogino designs the characters, and Kanade Sakuma and Natsumi Tabuchi compose the music.

The anime adapts Kōcha Agasawa’s manga, which ran on Line Manga from January 2020 to April 2022 before Shueisha released it in print across 14 volumes.
