Off Campus breakout star Ella Bright just got real about her love life, and fans finally have an answer to the question that’s been circling since the show premiered.

Bright’s chemistry with co-star Belmont Cameli has fueled endless shipping since Off Campus landed on Prime Video, with viewers convinced there had to be something going on behind the scenes. The two play Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, a fake-dating-turned-real couple whose on-screen spark has become one of the show’s biggest talking points. Naturally, that translated into fans wondering if the same energy existed off camera.

Bright has largely stayed quiet on the topic, letting the speculation build without confirming or denying anything. That changed when she sat down with comedian Owen Thiele on his podcast, In Your Dreams, for a conversation that got surprisingly candid.

Ella Bright Addresses Dating Rumors And Confirms She’s Single

Asked directly whether she’d ever date a co-star, Bright didn’t rule it out entirely but made clear it’s not something she’s chasing. “I don’t think so. I don’t know if I would date actors. I mean… Maybe if I meet the right person. Who knows?” she said.

She then addressed her relationship status head-on. “I’m single. Not ready to mingle. I love being single. Alone,” Bright said, putting the co-star rumors to rest in the process.

Bright went on to connect her single status to a bigger shift happening in her life right now, one tied to her sudden rise since Off Campus premiered. “I think this kind of big change in life is just really nice to just kind of be doing it for myself and also just trying to sit with it. Like, I’m already trying to make my way through it,” she explained.

At just 19, Bright has gone from CBBC’s Malory Towers to leading a Prime Video hit in the space of a year, a jump that comes with plenty to process. Her comments suggest she’s choosing to navigate that transition solo rather than diving into a new relationship while adjusting to her expanding profile.

The Off Campus cast has fielded plenty of real-life romance questions since the show took off, with castmates Stephen Kalyn and Antonio Cipriano both confirmed to be in long-term relationships. Bright’s remarks now put her firmly in a different camp, single and, by her own account, perfectly happy about it.

Off Campus has already been renewed for season two, so expect more from Bright and Cameli’s Hannah and Garrett soon.
