Zoro Faces Sommers and Unlocks His Haki in One Piece Chapter1194
The entire chapter revolves around the clash between Zoro and Sommers. Sommers initially feels intimidated by Zoro. That fear instantly turns to laughter once he notices Zoro’s clumsy Conqueror’s Haki control. Sommers mocks Zoro openly, calling him stupid and useless.
Zoro strikes through Sommers’ back while he laughs. The blade reaches Sommers’ heart without inflicting fatal harm yet. Zoro continues slicing Sommers to pieces as live trial practice. Sommers regenerates completely every time, growing furious and annoyed.
Mid-fight, Zoro drifts into a flashback to his training on Kuraigana Island. Perona is present alongside Dracule Mihawk. Zoro also recalls Luffy telling him that his Conqueror’s Haki was merely leaking out.
Mihawk reminds Zoro that everything in the world eventually changes. However, he notes that Conqueror’s Haki remains the one constant that training alone cannot teach. Perona hilariously interrupts to ask if he means a beard. Mihawk ignores her and explains that Conqueror’s Haki is the pure scale of one’s self, an aura the weak simply cannot withstand.
Back on the battlefield, Sommers grows exhausted from constantly piecing his body back together. He decides to unleash a decisive strike to kill Zoro. Zoro ties his bandana around his head and absorbs Mihawk’s lesson.
The chapter closes on a massive power surge. Zoro channels his Conqueror’s Haki evenly across Enma, Wado Ichimonji, and Sandai Kitetsu. Black lightning and wild flames surround all three blades, reminiscent of his final stand against King. Zoro stands ready to end the battle once and for all.
