Green Lanterns can use their rings to create almost anything they can imagine, but Lanterns star Aaron Pierre has a surprisingly ordinary use in mind.
During an appearance on Heart with host Pandora Christie, Pierre was asked what boring everyday task he would give a Green Lantern ring, and his answer had nothing to do with saving the world.
Lanterns Star Would Use The Ring For One Household Chore
When Christie asked which everyday task the ring could handle, the Lanterns star quickly settled on cleaning the floors.
“I mean, well you know I’d probably do mopping the floor and hoovering the floor,” Pierre said, explaining that he cannot do one without the other.
The British actor and model admitted there are plenty of household jobs they actually enjoy, including doing laundry and making the bed with fresh sheets and pillowcases. Hoovering and mopping, however, are a different story, especially because the actor insists on doing them in that exact order.

“I can’t do one without the other. I need to hoover and then I need to mop,” he explained. “It to be in that order,” before admitting that cleaning the floors is “not my favorite thing to do.”
Christie then revealed that she would have picked ironing, which led to another funny exchange. The Lanterns star admitted, “I don’t iron anything,” joking that despite owning both an iron and an ironing board, they mostly sit around as decoration.
The mundane answer is fitting for a series that is bringing a grounded approach to the Green Lantern mythology. Lanterns stars Kyle Chandler as veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, with the DC series mixing superhero elements with a darker murder mystery.
