has given his clearest answer yet on what comes after . Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Studios boss was asked directly what the looks like on the other side of the film and whether he considers it a reboot.

His answer pointed straight at the comics.

Jonathan Hickman’s 2015 Secret Wars ended with the multiverse being rebuilt after its destruction, creating a new reality that incorporated characters and elements from multiple previously separate universes, including and other Ultimate Universe elements.

That event is widely remembered as the moment Marvel used a crossover to reorganize its entire publishing line. Feige name-checking it specifically suggests the film could do something similar to what the cinematic universe does.

According to Horowitz, Feige denied that Secret Wars would function as a full reboot, but he didn’t rule out a major structural shift.

“No, but I look to the comics as I always do in terms of our storytelling, but particularly the Hickman Secret Wars from 10 years ago, there’s a nice road map to where we can go,” Feige said.

That single line has reignited speculation that Secret Wars will merge the , the Fantastic Four, and Sony’s Spider-Verse characters into the main MCU timeline, mirroring what Hickman’s Doctor Doom did on Battleworld.

Kevin Feige Also Shut Down the Two-Movie Rumor

The same conversation with Horowitz tackled another piece of speculation that had been circulating for months, the idea that Secret Wars could be split into two separate films, the way Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame were.

Feige gave a blunt answer.

“Not this world.”

It was the most direct denial he’s given on the subject after months of conflicting reports from insiders. He also told Horowitz that no X-Men actors are currently locked into contracts for whatever comes after Secret Wars, leaving the casting picture on the other side of the film wide open.

Both comments paint the same picture. Marvel is treating Secret Wars as a hard turning point for the franchise, one built directly and structurally around Doom, Battleworld, and a multiverse collapse, without committing to the word reboot.
