This version is Sakamoto at the peak of his assassin career, before family life or a shop full of snacks ever entered the picture. Lu Wutang explained that Uzuki’s mind fractured under extreme trauma, and facing Sakamoto a decade ago left a wound deep enough to spawn an entirely new persona.
Nagumo, still reeling from the fight, found himself matched against a version of his old friend that felt less like a person and more like an idealized legend, closer to the mythic Takamura than anything human.

Chapter 271 releases worldwide on Sunday, August 9, 2026, keeping the series’ usual Weekly Shonen Jump slot. Pacific readers get it at 8 a.m., Central at 10 a.m., and Eastern fans can jump in at 11 a.m., all that Sunday.
The UK sees the chapter at 4 p.m. BST, Central Europe follows at 5 p.m., and India’s release window lands around 8:30 p.m. the same day. The Philippines gets it at 11 p.m. Sunday, right as Japan crosses into Monday, August 10 at 12 a.m. JST, with Australian Central time landing about half an hour later.
