Colin Tattersall thinks he’s running Season 2’s most dangerous man. But according to , he’s about to learn otherwise as he teases that Frankie turns on his own partner midseason, and there’s nothing personal about it.

For the first leg of Season 2, Tattersall has carried himself like a chess master who pulled off the ultimate coup by hiring Frankie as his personal sledgehammer. He operates with the smug confidence of an operative who thinks he’s running the show from an arm’s length.

Flynn, however, made it clear that Tattersall has misread the entire board. Frankie isn’t an unwitting tool. He is fully aware that Cat McAllister sits higher up the chain, and he has zero intention of letting a middleman collect the vig on his work.

“You will see Frankie’s sort of understanding of his relationship with Cat and how, given the chance, if he needed to, he would get rid of Tattersall and go straight to Cat,” Flynn tol Collider. “Him and Cat start working together closely as well… you’re only useful until you’re not. He’s enjoying playing with Tattersall and rinsing him for all he’s worth.”

What makes Frankie uniquely terrifying this season isn’t his standard mob greed. It’s that he treats extreme violence like recreational sport.

When asked if there is any moral line his character wouldn’t cross, Flynn’s answer was blunt: “Frankly, no.”

That complete lack of guardrails erupts halfway through the season when Frankie abruptly pulls the rug out from under Tattersall.

“Somewhere in the middle of the series, he turns on Tattersall, and you realize for a second that there’s no loyalty there,” Flynn explained. “There’s nothing that would stop him. It’s only the fun of it that he’s there for. He’s like a cat with a mouse.”

That treachery fits right into a season defined by shifting sands, with co-star Laura Donnelly noting that the Harrigan camp is just as unstable in this “dog-eat-dog world,” and that alliances “will change in virtually every scene.”

With Frankie cutting Tattersall out to deal directly with Cat, Colin loses the one buffer he thought kept him safe, meaning the violent collision between Frankie and the man who hired him is bound to arrive far sooner than Tattersall expects.
