MobLand Cast Warns Neither Conrad Nor Maeve Can Be Trusted in Season 2
Speaking on the aftermath of the first two episodes, the ensemble cast weighed in on the intensifying friction between the ruthless family matriarch Maeve and the increasingly unhinged Conrad. While Conrad has always been volatile, actress Teddie Allen, who plays Gina, believes that Maeve remains the calculated master of manipulation operating quietly behind the curtain.
“She’s the puppet master,” Allen told Collider. “Conrad is very quick off the trigger, but she really is the puppet master. She’s got fingers in all of the pies.”
Maeve’s calculating grip, however, faces direct friction from Conrad’s sudden downward spiral. Gripped by deep personal trauma and grief, Conrad appears to be coming completely undone emotionally, shedding every bit of tactical patience and strategic discipline he used to exercise. Rather than plotting a calculated route forward, his impulse is driving him toward pure destruction.
“Conrad right now is going through something,” Mandeep Dhillon, who plays Seraphina, explained regarding his erratic state. “And the thing that he’s going through is taking whatever logic he did have out of it as well. He’s not thinking ahead. He’s just doing things. And so, that is also a little bit dangerous. He’s a loose cannon.”
With Conrad firing on instinct and Maeve pulling the strings from the shadows, the cast unanimously agreed that neither figure offers any safety or moral ground.
“Basically, don’t trust either of them… They’re both done,” Anson Boon, who plays Eddie, concluded.
Maeve may be the one pulling the strings, but with Conrad cutting them loose, MobLand season 2 is heading somewhere no one is safe, with episodes dropping Weekly on Paramount+ on Friday.
